Lost Cat SHELBURNE FALLS, MA

  Reunited Cat
One of our Hospice patients has two cats and one slipped outside on Feb 1, 20 Her two cats were bookends on her hospital bed and have been with her for 19 years I was told about this site by a coworker and posted a picture of Butterscotch and where and when he was last seen I was contacted via text by a member who advised me how to make the most impactful posters and ads and they kept in touch with me daily Never losing faith that he would be found Well after 21 days of surviving brutal temps and rough terrain a kind person kept seeing the cat go inside a shed but couldn’t catch him He finally set up a humane trap with tuna and caught him safely however did not know where to return him One day after we plastered the town with posters did we get a call and Butterscotch was safely returned home to the joy of his owner and all her caretakers and actually our entire business Butterscotch had never been outside and never wore a collar He had lost a significant amount of weight Thank you for continually to support me in our unwillingness to give up on this precious cat I’m very grateful for the advice and for the morale boosters as with everyday things looked grim The take away is post on this site and every other site they recommend Posters were key in our rescue and a picture are truly worth a thousand words ! I have suggested a collar or a microchip and make sure if you’re going to open a window that it has screeens!! Every effort should be made to prevent an escape but should one of our loved pets slip out it is most helpful to network with this site and every other lost pet site in your area It took a village and the kindness of strangers to bring Butterscotch home I’m grateful we had a happy ending and I am happy this site and so many others are willing to help when you need it most Thank you very much!!?? Good luck to all those who are still searching and I will keep a special prayer in my heart that you will also have a happy ending Good luck and warm wishes Sincerely Sandi Mcculloch
