Lost Cat CLAYTON, NC

  Reunited on 02/06/20
We were thankful to find LostMyKitty's website. A veterinarian's office, close to our home, suggested this website. Although I was pleased with the format, posting and flier that was produced, I was able to find our Pretty Girl through a flier I made and distributed to neighbors, before hearing about this website. I would use this website again, if necessary. It offers many options. When you lose your pet, one needs to do everything possible to find the lost family member, as quickly as possible. Not only did I create and distribute a flier, I talked to neighbors, kids playing outside, and I drove the neighborhood daily, at different times, and posted the loss of our cat on our local Nextdoor app. I visited the local animal control shelter and I had neighbors all around aware of our lost girl. I've encouraged others who have lost a pet, to never give up. In our case, it was a neighbor one street away from us who heard Pretty Girl's cries when the neighbor and her family arrived home one evening. They found Pretty Girl one day shy of two weeks after she had gone missing. Our cat had entered another neighbor's crawl space through a small opening in the door or wall and could not get out. The neighbor who found Pretty Girl was one I had personally spoken to and handed her a flier with Pretty Girl's picture, date she had gone missing, along with my contact information. The good neighbor called me immediately when she found Pretty Girl and we were reunited with our sweet girl. She was cold and hungry after not eating for almost two weeks. She is now home, happy and has become an indoor cat. I don't know how much longer she would have survived, especially without her daily meds. Finding her was a result of answered prayer and a determination to use all the tools available in locating a lost pet. This website is a great starting point. My advice to all cat owners is that no matter how much your cat or kitty enjoys being outside (and they all do), determine to help your cat adjust to being an indoor cat, with warmth, affection, and routine medical checkups. Your cat will be happy and can spend countless hours watching the birds out the windows, while enjoying the safety of the indoors.
