I lost Mimi 2 days before my birthday and was distraught.. I couldn't eat or sleep, and all I did was search for her... I was at a loss and didn't know what to do as she's my first kitten and this is my first time being a cat mom. Some said that she'll come home eventually, but a part of me couldn't just sit still and wait, so I eventually turned to this site along with many others and made flyers to post around my neighborhood. I also utilized the amber alert the night before my birthday
Then, to my surprise, my mom called to say that she's been found! it turns out she was in the crawl space of the house next door. However since it's been abandoned due to a fire, it was difficult trying to get her. Thankfully my parents received permission from the former owners so they were able to get her out. 7pm on my actual birthday, it was a miracle...
Out of all the sites I've posted on, this one helped the most with the pre-made printable flyer and amber alert system.
I know it worked because some neighbors who saw her today said "so you found your kitty? That's great!"
And it really is!
